LOVE this mix - the new Nike commercial featuring Ennio Morricone’s classic “Ecstacy of Gold” theme from the spaghetti western - “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”
Other soundtracks by Ennio Morricone that you should definitely check out:
Once Upon A Time In America
Once Upon A Time in the West
Fist Full of Dollars
For a Few Dollars More
The Untouchables
plenty more, but those are my personal favorites. Feel free to point out any that you like best as I’ve not heard everything he’s done.
edit: Found out Jay-Z did a song with the same sample, here it is:

I have lived in Pittsburgh my entire life, this commercial is made with class and style, showing the love of the game, not the product. A class act, just like the Steeler franchise!

Polamalu stoned LT

gotta love how some Nike commercials are more about promoting the love of a sport than they are promoting their product…kinda makes you wanna buy their products even more now.
October 14th, 2008 at 2:28 pm
anyone wanting the song should check with Nike and see if they have it for download… or just grab the original “Ecstacy of Gold” song and grab one of those ‘add your own beats’ mixer programs that float around on the net… i might just get around to making my own when I feel properly inspired

A song using this beat is “Out alive” by Sage. It’s a sing about being an atheist so if you’re religious, you won’t like it. Sick beat though.

whatever happens to the kids that play these guys as kids? do they feel the pressure to live up to the standard of these world-class athletes. do they realize that their scenes are “scripted?” just a thought i had….
